I have a passion for the holidays. My favourite one of all is pretty obvious if you take a quick peek at my blog.
Since February of this year I have been playing with my graphics program and designing various things. My printed designs can be purchased at Spoonflower (as fabric, wallpaper, gift wrap and as decals.) My papier mache can be found on Etsy under the ID: RetroRudolphs.
This week's eBay auctions... a bit of fun for anyone who has a desire for vintage style Halloween.
Moving right along to the next set of pics: I have almost finished some new candy containers. (The witches need party hats and they all need wire handles.) I have already tried a mock-up version of a party hat on the larger witch. I really wish I had photographed her with it because she's a hoot!!
Clearly, you can see that they are more complex and a whole lot more time consuming than what I am used to doing. That being said, they were somuch fun to do! I am definitely going to be exploring more possibilities, needless to say each one will have it's own special characteristics. So you can expect to see more of this type of container in the future.
I've got 2 new items on eBay tonight, 2 new items on Spooky Time Jingles for the month, and 1 more item for eBay... which will list on Friday night at 9:30 p.m.
Oh, I also met a fellow Canadian papier mache artist yesterday; Len Bentham of Happy Holidays. I must admit we had the most hilarious phone conversation and I hope we'll be chatting again soon... in fact I know we will. If you get the chance, please check out Len's work. Just click on the link above.
I'll wait to post a pic of my Halloween Carnival challenge piece until Friday... I'd hate to spoil the surprise for some of you.
