I have a passion for the holidays. My favourite one of all is pretty obvious if you take a quick peek at my blog.
Since February of this year I have been playing with my graphics program and designing various things. My printed designs can be purchased at Spoonflower (as fabric, wallpaper, gift wrap and as decals.) My papier mache can be found on Etsy under the ID: RetroRudolphs.
Here's what's new on eBay this week. A couple of "green" witches and a grinning gourd candy container.
The winking witch has a hidden candy container inside her head, under her vintage treat bag styled party hat.
As for the remainder of the week... well, I'm trying to finish sculpting a new piece for EHAG's next upcoming challenge enititled "Halloween Carnival." I don't think I will have it done by August 15th, but I'm going to try anyway.
After months of feeling like I've accomplished nothing. I finally feel like I'm ready to start selling again.
I took pics yesterday and today, then spent countless hours editing because I take far too many being anal and all. LOL!
So... as of this coming Wednesday I will finally list something on eBay, what item(s) in particular... I don't know.
On August 13th, I will debut two or three items (not pictured here) on a fantastic new site called Spooky Time Jingles. I am thrilled that Dani of Ambitions Design has allowed me to join her awesome roundup of amazing artists.
Look for an email from me on Tuesday or Wednesday with a sneak peek at what will be up for auction. (If you'd like to join my mailing list, please drop me a note.) Until then... I hope you have a great week! ~ Lori
p.s. don't forget to click on the pics to enlarge them.
As many of you may know I am a proud member of "EHAG". What you may not know is that we have a group blog. Please click on the EHAG Art banner and you'll be transported into the wonderful, whimsical world of Halloween.
Currently you'll find several pictures from our 2nd annual gift exchange, a new black cat candy cup from Johanna Parker and Chris Klingler reveals his newest Tarot post card.
On the sidebar you'll find links to our current eBay listings, artist blogs, member websites and you'll also see some links to upcoming Halloween shows.
So grab a cup of your favourite beverage and sit back and enjoy!
A Very BIG thank you to Lance of Crescent Hill Designs for giving me the Brillante weblog award. You know I love your work Lance!
As per the rules, I will be passing it on to 7 of my blogger friends who's blogs I check every week just to see what's up with them... and of course to get my fill of eye candy!
Here are the rules: 1) Put the logo on your blog. 2) Add a link to the person who awarded you. 3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs. 4) Add links to those blogs on yours. 5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.
I'm sure by now you must all be getting sick of seeing the same darn thing, so I will apologize in advance. (I don't really feel sorry), I actually feel pretty darn good! I have been working on 40 pieces simultaneously and I'm finally making some serious progress. (Please don't bother counting because not all 40 are in the pics.)
Pic.1 Almost all pieces are ready for sale or auction, however some require wire handles. I am keeping the two black cat buckets on the far right, so they won't be for sale.
Pic 2. All the "Simpleton's" are complete, with the exception of the piece in the front row, 2nd from left hand side.
Pic 3. There are 4 small candy containers in need of handles and in the back row are 3 hot air balloon type pieces that still need more work... their paper inserts will be illuminated with an LED - battery operated tealight.
Pic 4. The ornaments (2 witches, pumpkin/veggie guy and skelly with fez) are now done, but the 4 figures in the back row still require some tweaking.
That's all for this week... hope you are enjoying some great weather where you are! ~ Lori
