Something's in life are FREE... and here's one of them.
You can print this, cut it out, glue it together and actually use it!

All I ask in return is that you don't sell it, claim it as yours, post it on other sites or use it for profit. It's a FREEBIE for personal use only.

Go on now... get printing. After all Halloween is only 288 days away.

You may have to scale it down and please make sure you print using the horizontal format. The printout and two fully illustrated instruction sheets are located below.

All in the name of FUN on my (42nd) Birthday

Okay, so I took a birthday quiz today for a bit o' mindless fun and here's what it said:

You work well with others. That is, you're good at getting them to do work for you.
me: Nope, I’d be rich if I had that kind of power over people.

It's true that you get by on your charm. But so what? You make people happy!
me: Did you see me bat my eyelashes?

You're dynamic, clever, and funny. And people like to have you around.
me: Well yeah, why wouldn’t they?

But you're so restless, they better not expect you to stay around for long.
me: Warning: If you’ve make good coffee and have donuts I’m not leaving!

Your strength: Your superstar charisma
me: Hmm, Charisma... I wonder what happened to Achilles?

Your weakness: Commitment means nothing to you
me: Sure, I LOVE that movie! Oh you said commitment, I better go have my noggin’ examined.

Your power color: Fuchsia
me: What?… nope that colour is too nasty to joke about!!

Your power symbol: Diamond
me: No, I prefer spades or hearts.

Your power month: May
me: Wrong-o’ it’s June.... when it’s warmer outside my super human strength returns.

Does it take a genius???... I dunno about that!

cash advance

I found this little gem by looking at one of my favourite blogs. Now me, being a rather curious type of gal I just had to click on the link and find out how my blog ranks when it comes to readability or lack thereof.

To answer your question... no, I don't consider my to be a genius when it comes to witty banter on my blog or any other area for that matter. But I must say it did make me feel good to see “genius”… when I was half expecting to see a dunce cap!

You know you want to try it out too. Go ahead... just click on the brain, or didn't you notice that?

Lucky me huh???

A HUGE thanks to the lovely and talented Kim Hardt, of Kim Hardt Originals for bestowing this award upon me... you are far too kind, and I mean that!!!

This little award is called The Daily Dose - and here is all the important info to tell you what it is about and where it came from. This is a tribute to all the blogs that you've discovered that you can't possibly live without. They make you laugh, cry, think and feel connected every time you read a post. They give you a thrill as you see them loading into your browser and you get an equally satisfying thrill when you see that they have commented on your blog". From Xandra: creator, The Daily Dose Award.

I would proudly like to Present this "Daily Dose" award to the following: Carolee, Jen, Nina and Johanna.

I like candy, lots and lots of candy!

Here's a sneak peek at my newest Halloween themed pieces that will be available on eBay this month. All were created to be used as candy containers... not just eye candy :)

Though relatively small in stature, the chenille bodied, ornaments have a small space in their noggin's for a really sweet treat!

Thank you for being a friend!

I can't remember what day it was our paths crossed on eBay, and I guess it doesn't really matter... I'm just glad they did!

We are both dreadful when it comes to emailing each other and perhaps don't do it as much as we should. We've had our share of ups and downs this past year too... but our friendship continues to grow through the good and not so good.

We have several things in common: We both love Holidays and Halloween, have very similar tastes when it comes to collecting, you married a really great german guy and so did I. The list goes on...

Perhaps the one thing you don't really know about me is how thankful I am for your friendship or how you constantly inspire me to become a better artist and a better friend. You sent me these pictures and have collected so many beautiful pieces of art... I am honoured that you chose to collect some of mine.

Thank you Cindy from the bottom of my heart... good friends (no matter the distance) are hard to come by!

Sincerely, Lori

Bin there... done that (finally)

2007 is over, and with all that it brought I'm sad to see it go.

All things considered it was a wonderful year! I had a very successful year on ebay thanks to all the amazing buyers I crossed paths with. I made new friends in EHAG and had a chance to meet a few (in real life) this past October. Hopefully in 2008, I will get to see them again and perhaps even meet a few more along the way.

So... what's up with all these pics you ask?

Okay, I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions... mostly because I don't like to make a promise I can't keep. When I look back at last year's goal list I did manage to meet one. That goal was to become more organized. As luck would have it, (LOL... luck and a really thoughtful husband) I received my Christmas gifts a little early and began the sorting process.

I don't have a formal studio, my workspace for the most part is our dining room.
WARNING: You are about to see a few pictures of my workspace posted below (laugh if you will) it's NOT pretty, but... it's pretty well organized.
I don't have anything really pretty to look at while I'm working, but... if I turn around I can see a cabinet full of the pretty things I like to collect (it's the bottom pic) and yes, some of my work is in there too.

Happy New Year to you all!!
